Quite pleased about this one. As The Way gets closer, Diana and I have been talking about what we should do next as a major project for the Inside Out group. In a way, I’m not sure we need one, since we seem to be doing quite well with lots of little exhibition projects trickling in.
But this idea has been kicking around the Inside Out files for almost two years. It’s basically a way to try and integrate artists into the business economy of Oswestry but getting them to establish productive working relationships with retail or other enterprises in the town, and to use those relationships to not only create new works, but to draw attention both to themselves and to the business they partner.
Full details of the project are over on the Inside Out blog.
I’ve approached Fine Line Tattoo Studio in Oswestry about the idea – they seem pretty keen, and so we’ll talk more once I get back in July.
