Sphinx - John Swogger, 2010
I think I’ve finally decided what I’m going to do for The Way. I need to get everything ready now, since I’m off to Carriacou soon, and want to make sure there’s as little as possible left behind for Diana to cope with once I’m gone.
Part of that is getting my own contributions to the exhibition ready before I go. I had originally planned to work towards just one, large piece – but in fact several smaller ones would be far more useful to Diana when it comes to hanging everything.
So I’ve settled on four 25 x 25 prints – three thematically linked, one stand-alone. I’m working on them now, and I’m pretty pleased with how they’re coming along. I’m pulling together all those disparate strands I’ve talked about since October, and am pretty happy with the way they’re coming together. I’ll post more once they’re all finished.
In the meantime, been still sketch-painting 20x20s as often as I can: “Sphinx” is one of the latest.
