Walks and Drives from The Hand at Llanarmon is now out – the walk book that Martin and I have been working on for the past year. The book contains a selection of twelve walks covering the Upper Ceiriog valley, Chirk, Oswestry Racecourse and Llangollen. The book also contains three drives across North Wales, including routes around Bala and Vyrnwy, Pennant Melangell, through Snowdonia and around the coastal castles below Anglesey. They’re on sale at The Hand, for the very reasonable price of £5 a copy!
Both Martin and I really enjoyed compiling the walks and drives, and I thoroughly enjoyed putting the book together. I got to illustrate the maps and the walks with some nice little pen-and-ink sketches of landmarks and views – a type of illustration I don’t often get to do.
Even though we’ve finished the book, we’re off out again tomorrow for our weekly walk (join us, if you’re down in Llanarmon at about 10am) – not sure if we’ll ever embark on volume two, but we’ll keep walking anyway!
