Poster by Jeremy Deller produced as part of the latest high-profile campaign to protest the coming cuts to arts funding. It’s a good poster and a strong message – one that rightly equates universal access to culture and expression with access to education and political representation. The arts are the voices of our individual and collective inner lives – without them, the world becomes a smaller, less meaningful place. At a time when economic and financial walls are closing in around us, the last thing we should be doing is making the world smaller and less meaningful.
