Light (1) - John Swogger, 2010 (digital; artwork for Studio Poster 4)
I’ve been working on a couple of posters for our Open Studio days at Studio a1. With no particular direction or agenda other than to make an eye-catching design, I’ve been able to just see where ideas lead me. This is the artwork for the fourth poster – something more painterly than the more graphic posters I’ve done so far.

John, how do I get one of these light posters? They are so beautiful.
Hey, Jess! Interestingly, I’ve never done runs of posters before, but I’ve recently moved into a new studio in an industrial building, and there’s a printer next door to me. He’s keen to branch out from commercial operations into art stuff, and so he and I are working together to calibrate his printers, etc., and get them set-up for small runs of art-quality prints and posters. If you’re interested, I’ll keep you in mind and let you know as soon as we get things up and running. “Light (i)” is actually one of the artworks I wanted to have printed up first. Give us a good couple of weeks, and if you haven’t heard back from me by then, message me on Facebook or comment here to remind me. I can post you one to the Netherlands, if you like. I’m also gradually getting together a portfolio of posters to be sold through Cafepress.com and Etsy.com, but I haven’t quite got that together either!
Wow, that’s all really cool! And don’t worry, I will most certainly remind you…and I’ll try to refrain from pestering, but no promises. haha
