Just finishing up the last bits of drawings, paperwork and data entry this morning before finally finishing here on Nevis. Tomorrow morning I catch the Seabridge ferry to St. Kitts, and then I’ll be winging my way back to the UK – another season in the Caribbean finished. Work on the Nevis material won’t stop here, though: there’s the inking-in of all the finds drawings from this season in preparation for the upcoming PIA report; Michiel and I will no doubt continue to discuss the reconstruction painting of Coconut Walk; Quetta and I will be editing our kids’ Caribbean Archaeology book: First People of the Islands; and I’ll continue to work off and on with the Alexander Hamilton Museum to help improve their exhibition and their catalogue/accession system. Still plenty to keep me thinking of Nevis throughout the coming year!
Adieu, Nevis!
